Stuart Newell Executive Director
Stuart Newell founded Newell Public Relations after spending more than 14 years in journalism and public relations, mostly in the Asia Pacific region. He started his career as a journalist in London in 1979, working as a reporter with Reed Business Press, the world's largest trade magazine publisher. Moving to Hong Kong in 1984, he joined the South China Morning Post as a sub editor, later transferring to the Hong Kong Standard as a senior sub-editor on the news desk. In 1986 he moved into broadcast journalism joining Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) where he worked for more than five years. Stuart established Newell PR in 1993 after several years in technology public relations.
David Croasdale Managing Director
David Croasdale joined Newell Public Relations in 1994 and has been involved in all aspects of the business as it expanded from a three staff consultancy to more than 40 today. He has extensive client servicing experience developed from working on accounts as diverse as Cisco Systems, Yahoo!, Motorola, 3M and Sri Lankan Tourism. Before joining Newell, David was an account manager with a Hong Kong advertising agency. Prior to this he worked in Holland as network marketing manager for ICL (now Fujitsu). David is currently Chairman of the Council of Public Relations Firms of Hong Kong.
Maggie Chan Director, Greater China
Maggie Chan heads up Newell Public Relations' China operations and was the key driver in establishing the consultancy's Beijing office in 1999. A specialist in pan-Greater China campaigns, Maggie spends equal amounts of time in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong meeting clients and managing operations. Before joining Newell PR, she was Marketing Manager for AST Computer, spearheading many of the PC maker's marketing programmes in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the PRC. Prior to this she worked for New World Telephone, a Hong Kong telecoms carrier.
